I have an 02 Ram 1500 with an AutoPage RS665-2W Remote Start / Alarm installed.
For whatever reason, the Headlights come on with the Parking Lights when remote starting even though ONLY the Parking Lights are supposed to.
I'm tapped into the Purple / YELLOW wire via 330 Ohm resistor at the headlight switch just as every vehicle wiring diagram describes.
Everything else works perfectly.
Any ideas what is going on?

Try a 1400 ohm resistor. It can be either 330 ohm or 1400 ohm in that truck.

Relay is internal in the RS665-2w 
Gonna try the 1.4K Resistor next trip to Radio Shack and report back with the results.

You need to use a relay to isolate the park light wire. This means cutting the park light wire and running it through the relay. USE A 320 (OR A 1.4) OHM RESISTOR 320 OHM RESISTOR TO GROUND TO 87, 85 TO GND 86 TO POS. OF ALARM 87A TO SWITCH 3O AWAY FROM THE SWITCH.

Well 1.4K Ohm didn't do anything different, but I can attest that either resistor value works fine - they just do the same thing is all. Looking for more ideas...
I really don't think the low beams need to be on while the truck is under remote start control, but I'm not going to get overly creative with the wiring either.
With regard to mikvot's relay isolation suggestion, unless I'm missing something, all that will do is isolate the ground away from the headlight switch on the dash while under the remote start's control.
How will this have any effect on my problem?
Since Headlights, Parking Lights, Tail Lights, and License Plate Lights all turn on when that wire is grounded through the resistor, are they not all sharing that ground or is something funky going on in the headlight switch itself that I'm overlooking?

I did an 06 Dodge Caravan that was listed as 2000 ohms, but would turn on the low beams at that resistance. I ended up increasing the value to about 2400 ohms to get it to work correctly with just the parking lights. Audiovox lists that same wire as 680 ohms to do the low beams ( with 320 for parking lights ) so you might have to go lower... Buy a trim pot (0-5k ohm) and start high and continue lower until the parking lights come on. ------------- Soldering is fun!
