I bought the astra 4000rs-2w1 remote car start this damn thing is pretty confusing. i own a 99 dodge durango with keyless entry i am questionin the use of all of the wires on this product can someone please tell me does it matter what type of relays it takes i bought 2 5 pin relays just something a lil more clear cut cuz this 16pin harness wit the alarm is extensive and id rather learn to do this instead of pay to have it done and my questions still be there. i dont understand wth they have three different wiring schematics for my truck i dont understand this diodes on the door trigger and what type of locks i have a negative trigger lock or postive. i wana set up with the two stage lock system however it isnt a neccessity. a clearer cut diagram and info on types of extras i need to buy would be greatly appreciated

If your vehicle has factory keyless, the lock type is positive pulse.  The wire colors are listed below

as long as the relays are rated 30 amps or higher they will be fine. heres a little info for your durango.

Lock - ORANGE / purple (+) blue plug in DKP

Unlock - pink/purple (+) same plug as lock

LF door trigger - BLACK/ blue (-) black plug in DKP

All other doors - tan/red (-) same plug

unless your system has alternating (+/-) locks use the (-) outputs to trigger the relays and convert the negative to a positive. if you want progressive locks you would have to use the motor wires which are 5wire.

use 2 diodes on each of the door trigger wires to isolate them
