I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma double cab v6 thanks

I have a viper 5701 and trying to install the alarm myself. I installed alarms on a few cars but never with a keysense.

I tapped into the lock (purple) and unlock (GREEN/ black) wires from the kick panel but when i arm or disarm the locks dont engage.

I also have a Fortin KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2 box but the instructions that came with it is garbage. where is the data in and data out wires?

Does my truck have a data link box? and if so, the fortin override came with a plug that suppose to plug into the datalink box?

Here is the link to the fortin installation instructions.

thanks guys , God bless

the fortin pieces is prob one of the easiest pieces to install and program.

look at your ignition cylinder for a 7pin plug.

Pin 4 - rx
Pin 5 - tx

for the keysense wire, there is a 2 pin white plug that is at the ignition switch as well. The keysense is the wire next to the WHITE/ black

Locks - purple (-) @ dkp Pin 4 of 10pin plug
Unlock - GREEN/ black (-) @ dkp Pin 8 of 10pin plug
test the wires by turning the key in the driver door.

test the outputs of the unit to see if they work.
