Can't find anything online about this, so I hope someone here has messed with it...

This siren came with my Python 460hp, I have it installed and everything's fine, but I would like to activate the siren by something isolated from the security system (the siren receives it's power from the module). My question is, does anyone know the specs on this siren? Does it run on 12 volts (such as if I were to give it 12 volts from the car battery, would it sound as if in alarm? or would it just blow up?) Any information is very much appreciated, thanks.

Yes my dear it is twelve volts around twenty watts or so! It will no blow up if you connect it directly to the battery it will go off as normal however you will lose the warn away and progressive door trigger sounds! What do you have in mind as regards to connecting it ?

I am installing my own starter kill using a momentary switch and I want the siren to sound if someone attempts to crank the engine without holding down the switch. Would it be possible to connect power to the positive lead of the siren (the brown wire coming from the alarm module to the siren) using 2 diodes?

Use a pressure (squeeze) switch, instead of a pushbutton.  Then put it under the carpet, like up high,  Then to start the car you have to press somewhere with your foot!   Other people cant figure out how it works!??

Also to mr bossbass, be careful when using NO contacts of a relay, you could end up stranded in the dead of night!
