hello I need help setting up an alarm, viper 5091 in a Peugeot 207 diesel 2007
the alarm is already mounted, already opens and closes doors, the base is already running, but I need help for the remote start.
need to know which wires to connect, and if I need anything else.

and I have a problem when closing the car with the alarm, he occasionally tells the alarm that the door is open but the door is closed, what I'm doing wrong.

appreciate any help you can give me.

I've got no real help for you but a couple things i must point out, viper 5091 never heard of it, is it a new unit? Also who is the "he" that tells the alarm the door is open? And lastly do you have a DMM?

I know Howard will chime in with some raw thoughts on this one! Good luck! posted_image

I apologize it is not 5091 but 5901 was my mistake.

When closing the car with the alarm, the alarm says the door is open, but only do it once in a while.

excuse my English, is a bit weak

what do you mean by dmm

A digital multi meter, it's used to test wires!  Your door ajar problem could be a faulting door switch or maybe you tied ito the dome light wire and you have a delay!  I knew you meant 5901, i was just fooling around! Sorry you didn't catch on!

Possible! Yes!

Degree of difficulty i do not know, but it won't be easy for a inexperienced person, that i can say  for sure! You must test all wires with a dmm before connecting!  Me personally, i won't even drive peugeots, let alone work on them, i dislike them intensely!

I'm installing the alarm with an electrician, but he never installed an equal and we have some doubts.

but regarding the alarm saying that the doors are open, a problem of poorly connected wires?

I need a modem to open and close the doors?

sorry all these questions but I wanted the alarm to function at 100%

You will have 2 ignition wires, treat them BOTH as ignition 1, do you have a transponder by-pass, there won't be one available from anywhere in North America because they refuse to import pieces of junk like Peugeots. There Darren you knew I was going to say something.
P.S. Individual door and hatch contacts may be found on the BSI box they need to be dioded together, tach at the injectors or management box in front of right hand wheel arch. Do not use the button on top dash for locks or hazards, it's all data. You need to pick up lock/unlock motor wires and the indicator wires in the BSI box, this won't turn off the dome light hence individual contacts to cure the problem. Please don't try to install this yourself, find a pro. What's the weather like in Portugal?

You never dissapoint howard! LOL!

Hey howie, many times i noticed you talked about mounting the prox sensor in the ceiling, so i fnally got the time to try it, i must say it works well, i adjusted it almost perfectly, but i have a feeling when the rainy season comes around the customer may have to come back in to re-adjust! But it works much better than the places i mounted them before! Thanks Howie, you're the man! posted_image

hello howie thanks for your help, I have this, Xpresskit TBXKEY DEI 556U Universal Transponder Bypass, was that the staff of xpresskit, which showed me.
I think it should be indicated.

then the problem of false alarm, it is so poorly connected wires.

When closing the car with the alarm the light from the roof torn off alone.
and she should not do that?

mean that the wires are attached to the ceiling light and should not.

when i close the car with the alarm, the lights of the Roof Should Be on.
and not turn off by themselves.
is as it should be?

I have a direct wire information but the electrician says he is not quite right, you can take a look around and say this is right?

here goes

wire             color wire       polarity      item location
left front door   301pin32           +              see note

trunk / hatch    3190a pin32        +              see note

note
left front door trigger 40way white connector fixed to bsi unit drivers side
trunk / hatch way light brown 40way light brown connector fixed to bsi unit drivers side

so that should be linked?

and the weather here is very sunny. posted_image

Your English isn't too bad, no. I know it's very difficult to learn another lanuguage; I learned to speak Portuguese too but I'm far from perfect! (Falo Portugues Brasileiro; se precisar traduzir alguma coisa posso ajuda-lo.)

Anyway, we haven't had Peugeot in the U.S. for about 20 years, so I don't know how much we can help you with the wire colors on the car.

But, on the Viper alarm, you should have three wires:
Violet: + door trigger
Green: - door trigger
Blue:   - trunk/instant trigger

Please tell us where each of these wires are connected:

Remote start:

You will need to correctly connect many things to get the remote starter to work.

Do you have a meter or at least a test light, to test the wires in the car?

You will need to make the following connections:

--Brake

--Tachometer

--All wires at the keyswitch for ignition, accessory, and starter

--If it's a manual transmission, you have extra connections to make at the parking brake and the clutch pedal

--And also immobilizer bypass. Like you found, the TBKIII or 556U would work. One of your extra keys will go inside the box and stay there forever.

Chris, you must realise Peugeots are possibly the nastiest cars in the world to work on. Loom colours change constantly, they rely on about 12 pastel shades with tiny, tiny numbers written on them.
Tsunamib are you sure the door contacts at the BSI box are +? They were always - there although they showed pos at the lights. Even the last 2 years 206 which effectively had the 207 wiring used neg. If you've wired for pos, that could be the problem. You cannot take the door(domelight)/trunk triggers from the lights, controlling the locking via an alarm r/s will leave the dome light 40 secs to fade away. You will ONLY get the instant response at the BSI. Naturally these are at the rear and will only test with the damned plug in position which happens to be at the far end of the box, you either have to remove it to get at these 2 quad plugs or end up like me looking at my wrists which look like I've been in a knife fight!

Also you WONT pick up tach anywhere in the car because of the CAN data system. Only choices, the management box in front of the wheel arch, an injector wire or an inductive pick-up, DEI 454? WARNING believe it or not, on some Peugeots the injector wires are covered in Epoxy! And the Americans wonder why we hate them! The comment about the weather was getting this done will probably cost you a round trip air ticket from the UK and at least 1 night's hotel bill! But then that's cheaper than the USposted_image
I ought to have sympathy, my paternal grandmother's name is Portuguese, but then who cares we left (were thrown out) because of the Inquisition!

Hello everyone, I finally got the car to work with the remote start three months ago.
But now it crashed when I click the remote to start the car,
the lights on the odometer link, but the starter does nothing.
does the same thing three times and then turns off.
when I do the diagnostic check, the LED flashes 4 times (trasmitter shutdown) and three times (low or no rpm)

what could it be? Alternator RPM Detector is broken?

I hope you can help, thanks
