Hi all.  I've got a DEI VIPER800ESP installed and has worked GREAT for around 3 weeks or so.  There's only one problem...  The siren has "changed tone".  It started out that it had kind of a deep tone to it.  Now it's more of a squeal, quite a bit more high pitched.  What's the deal?  Anyone else had this problem?  Is it a defective siren or what?

mb44197 check to see if the siren has water in it.

you might have to take it out and move it around to see if water comes out.

good luck.

Nope, no water.  I already had the siren pointing down for that reason but I went ahead and checked.  That was my first assumption also.  No luck.  Any other suggestions?   I really don't want to go get another siren, but if I must, i guess I must.

try to put the siren to the car batt. see if it still sounds the same ,

that way you can make sure that the siren is the real problem.

if so you going to have to replace it sorry dude.
