so I'm installing a viper 5500 into a 2005 ford fivehundred. am doing pretty good, until I get to the doorlocks. the door locks on the car is not the problem, the brain is showing a solid, constant negative out from the lock output(-) and it doesnt go away. so I am wondering, can I just use the -200ma outputs to a relay setup (amplified negative outputs) from the oem disarm out and arm out for my lock unlock circuits?

otherwise I'm stuck and will have to wait for this brain to come back from warranty, brand new brain too.

well, let me know guys, it has been awhile since I've messed with oem arm and disarm.

also, can someone explain to me what the FLEX relay is ? I'm assuming it can be apart of the starter kill setup.

thanks

if both the locka nd unlock rest at constant ground, you have a defective brain. however you can use the factory alarm arm wire for doors locks as you mentioned.

flex relay is primarily used for an additional ignition wire.
