i am trying to install a python 881xp on my door lock it runs two wires during unlock one is positive and one is negative during lock its opposite and i am trying to figure out how to wire this up... do i need a relay.. im completely clueless here. the car is a 1996 jeep grand cherokee if i need to post more info please ask

is there away u can make it were u can unlock all four doings by wiring up to the switch on driver or passenger side?

I don't believe so. The relays in the drivers door will only do the drivers door. The relays in the passengers door will do the passenger door, rear doors and hatch. Here is the info from AudioVox: https://documents.audiovox.com/700660.pdf------------- Soldering is fun!

there's a few companies that make a data door lock interface for these jeeps. i have used a 455J from DEI and another piece from iDatalink (can't recall the model of it though). no need to do the relays in the doors using the interface

well the second website had a better diagram just went out side and did it.. now it workss thanks.. Do yall know a way to use the remote to make the windows go up and down i beleive it works the same way becuase ive tryed sending power directly to the motor and nothing.

I might be doing a Viper 571 in a 1997 Grand Cherokee and I was wondering what kind of bypass module did you use? I haven't found one that does not need a sapre key. just looking for info. Thanks

from what i know, the grand cherokee did not have immobilizers until 1998+

Thanks tedmond. This is for my wife's sister car. (notice I didn't say sister-in-law). Just looking for the info on 1997 jeep Grand Cherokee to see if it's within my scope of doing.

there is also a way to solder directly to a board @ the driver door switch for your lock and unlock. Saves a lot of time, I don't have the .doc on this comp tho...
