pkall honda accord headaches

Im trying to install a viper 5701 and a Pkall in a 99 honda accord. I have the remote start wired up and working. It will start the car so long as the key is in the ignition and at the start position, so I know my wiring for the Remote start is correct. So I got the Pkall hooked up and soldered. I have checked the connections and everything is looking right however, it will not fire.

directed has 2 different sets of programming instructions on their website.

I have had the module do a confirmation 10 blinking led but still no go.

I have tried both hard wiring it and also D2D. with same results. the only glimmer of hope has been when I start the remote starter with the key in the ignition. I remove the key and the car still beeps or rings to let me know the key is still in the ignition.

Ive searched high and low across the internet for answers and scratched a bald spot onto a odd part of my head. What am I missing?

you may need a transponder for that one to work without the key

boxhead, that bypass is a self learning bypass.

this is what i would do first. Try using your valet (grey) key to program the bypass. If that fails to work, on the bypass module, disconnect the ground when running (status) and go through the programming sequence. one of those will correct your problem. keep it hardwired aka W2W.

has the bypass been flashed with the correct firmware?

you say it works with the key in the IGN position.....    does it work with it slid into the ign BUT NOT TURNED?  this will denote a transponder issue....if it only works with the key turned this will denote a missing IGN or ACC circuit.....

The car will not start unless the key is fully engaged into the ign position

you are not powering an ignition wire then. pull out the dmm and start testing. power up all circuits.

Are you referring to the wiring in the remote start or for the pkall? I checked the ignition wiring for pkall and that wire tests positive 12 v with ignition on.

any ideas which ign? I checked voltage for the pkall and thats showing 12 v when starting

if you cannot remote start the car unless the key is just RESTING in the ignition cylinder, you have a BYPASS PROBLEM.

if you cannot remote start the car unless the key is in the ignition cylinder AND turned 2clicks to ignition, you have a wiring problem. THis is where you double check to see if the ignition wire ON the car is being power during remote start.

Thanks for all the help looks like the wiring from the remote start was a little quirky. I fixed that soldered and attempted to remote start. Still a no go. So I go to program the PKALL for the 300th time, this time

Option B (Honda Accord 99 specific;hold button connect power then connect 2 - 3, click button once more and then five times) nothing significant.

So I try

Option A (Honda generic; hold button connect power, wait for LED. press button once then press again for acura/honda. Connect 2 - 3 click ign)

I get 10 blinks Yahtzee!! and now Im in business. Thank you all Ive installed alarms before but my first remote start.
