Greetings:
Installation instructions are vague about the procedure for connecting the door locks. Are relays necessary or can i just connect the unit directly to the lock wires? (500ma)

If you have negative trigger it's direct connection to the trigger wires! You have to verify locking type first!

Just be careful, some Hondas up that vintage usually Japanese built required a motor in driver's door. What is an "option group alarm?"

Thnaks for your replys. How do you verify the locking type? Option group alarms are widely available on ebay for about 35 bucks. currently there are 62 offered. they all look to be the same.

DON'T buy alarms that you've never heard off from e-bay! (You might get shot ), ted knows what i'm saying,LOL, If you don't have a diagram for the vehicle then do you have a meter, this is the way we will decipher locking type, although i would go out on a limb and say negative trigger, we still have to check! ------------- COMMIT YOUR WAY TO JEHOVAH AND HE WILL ACT IN YOUR BEHALF.

the hondas are usually a negative triggered locking system. Again verify with a DMM to be sure.

lol t&t, yes i do. i wouldnt buy or install an ebay unit. i have before and never will i do it again. they are a PITA to diagnose when things go wrong. on that note, never heard of that brand ever, and the locking system is type B aka negative trigger. ------------- Ted

Except the piece of junk probably won't work, what do you expect for £22? Might as well throw the money away. Don't buy anything electrical off of fleabay, even known brands. Couple of years ago a regular customer bought an Alpine Sat Nav that way, everything worked fine except the DVD sat Nav, luckily I knew people at Alpine and got it repaired under goodwill warrantee, the so called "dealer" wasn't and Alpine wanted to have a "chat" with him!
Why do we even bother with posters who've been fleabayed?
Why do you think the equivalent from a "proper" brand such as DEI Avox/Code etc. costs 5-10 times as much?
