according to diagram, parking lights should be Lt. Blue(+)(Left)and WHITE/ Purple(+)(Right). I thought i was going to have to isolate with diodes but if i connect the (+)light flash from remote start to either the left or right, both sides come on. why would connecting to 1 side cause the other side to also light? Is this ok this way?
thanks

Bad ground?
Not that I know anything about its connections, just the general knowledge that lights extinguishing or others coming on often result from a broken or bad ground connection to those lights.

I have done a few caravans but I always use the Parking Light Mux wire ( WHITE/ Brown ) at the light switch.  It is easy to find and works great via the Parking Light Mux control output from the iDatalink module.

I believe a relay and a 1k resistor will work also.  Use the relay to open the Mux wire and put the 1k resistor to ground on the BCM side of the mux wire.

Mux wire from switch to relay pin 87A

Mux wire to car to relay pin 30

1 k resistor to ground to relay pin 87

R/S (+) Parking lights to relay pin 86

Ground to relay pin 85

Thanks, I'll try it that way.
Seems like a great way to do it.
