Is there a EASY way to delay the siren so it ignores conformation chirps?

Use the OEM rearm wire to trigger a 3second off delay relay that interupts the the siren?  Many alarms have a programmable option to shut the chip off. Wait, what "confirmation chirps" are you talking about? ------------- Kevin Pierson

Lock and unlock confirmations. I have both a horn and siren connected and both will emit a chirp at the same time and it sounds retarded. I like having the horn chirp to confirm its armed because its quick and soft. But Im wanting the siren to sound when the alarm is triggered.

Not familiar with the unit, but if it's anything that's made with intelligence it should have the option of programming the confirmation chirps off! -------------

Yes I can turn off the conformation chirps but what I'm wanting is the chirps to come from the horn and not the siren. I would simply disconnect the siren but I want the siren when the alarm is triggered.

What I'm asking is if there is a way to delay or keep power from going to the siren when it does short pulses for a chirp but if the power holds solid for 2 or more seconds then send the power through to the siren.

Well on dei units the confirmation chirp elimination would accomplish this, assuming you're using a dedicated horn trigger!

I was assuming that disabling conformation chirps would also disable chirps coming from the horn. I will give it a try and see.
It does have a dedicated horn trigger.

Crap! It disabled both the siren and horn chirps.
