i have a 2001 Mitsubishi eclipse gt   i just recently put a viper 350 plus alarm system in it and every thing works except the door locks i can unlock them but the dont lock. i talked to a couple of local installers and they asked me if i diode isolated the wires but will not tell me how to do it.   can anyone help me please its very annoying carrying 2 remotes and they want like 150 just to get the lock button to work. thanks

Do you have a factory alarm installed by chance that controls the doors with your remote? If not.. this shouldn't be a problem. In the drivers kick panel, your Lock wire is Purple, your unlock wire is light GREEN/ red. Sounds like you may have one of the wires not wired properly. Double check the lock/unlock harness connections from the 350hv. Don't think you need diodes.

there is a plug with 2 wires ones green and ones blue and in the book that came with the alarm it says
Door lock harness(h2),3-pin connector
green       (-)lock,(+)unlock output
blue        (-)unlock,(+) lock output
and the wiring diagram i have says

Unlock Motor dk. GREEN/ red drivers kick panel
Lock Motor lt. green drivers kick panel
Power Unlock orange - drivers kick panel
Power Lock lt. GREEN/ black

HERE IS THE WIRING INFO I FOUND >>>

Door Lock Wire (-): Light GREEN/ Black (These are the door key cylinder wires. Meter the wires while turning the key in the drivers door. Unlock requires a double pulse. On vehicles without the factory alarm use purple for lock and light GREEN/ red for unlock, these are the door lock switch wires.)
Door Lock Wire Location: Driver Kick Panel (Located in a black 32 pin plug.)

Door Unlock Wire (-): Orange (These are the door key cylinder wires. Meter the wires while turning the key in the drivers door. Unlock requires a double pulse. On vehicles without the factory alarm use purple for lock and light GREEN/ red for unlock, these are the door lock switch wires.)
Door Unlock Wire Location: Driver Kick Panel (Located in a black 32 pin plug.)

Another note in the install guide that might be of interest...

The door lock outputs are low current and should not be attached
directly to any high current device; they are only to be used to activate relays

It is possible that the lock pulse does not driver enough current to activate the lock motor wire on your car. You may need to refer to the Direct Tech document 1041 for diagrams on how to do this for your car. I am not an expert yet on door locks but hope this helps. Maybe a diode is needed on the lock wire separating it from the factory system.

I have a 530t but choose not to install it. The RED / white wire connects to the RED / white wire from the 350 alarm brain (same color coding) The gray wire connects to the -blue wire trigger of the alarm brain. If you have sensors hooked to this blue wire you will need a relay to bypass them. Let me know if you need any info on that. On your door lock issue, make sure the lock wire from the brain to your door connection is not split or cut anywhere.. also check the plug in harness and pins.

In the driver kick panel (black plug) locate the purple wire for lock... and for unlock light GREEN/ red. Try this and see if it works that way. These should be the wires connected to the factory door relays.
