Hello, I currently have a Compustar rf-p2w9000-ss with the CM-5200 brains.  This is just the remote starter and I would like to upgrade to the starter and alarm system.  What I would like to know is what will be the differences in wiring?  I realize I would have to do the wiring for the siren, shock sensor, pager, and probably the dome light but will I be able to leave the rest of the wiring in place and will the connectors just plug into the new brains?  Thank you very much!

Blair

the best option would be to upgrade to the Compustar CM6000 which is a alarm and starter system. The Compustar systems are sold with out the remotes or the antena.  They must be purchased seperatly. The CM6000 will work with your existing remotes and antenna. The wiring is differnt though. The CM 6000 will come with all of the wirring you will need to complet the job, including shock sensor, siren ect.

If you upgrade to the CM5000, the CN1 and the CN2 are the same as well as the door lock and the antenna. The only thing you would need to add is the trigger wires and the siren but everything else is the same. Also the impact sensor would need to be installed as well

Perfect, thanks a lot guys, appreciate the answers.   I's probably go with something like Jeff is saying, buy another complete package identical to mine then I could sell the existing one pretty easily.
