According to the info on this site, yes you require a transponder BYPASS for that vehicle! Part 556uw

Generally speaking......     On a V6 = Yes.  On a 4 Cyl = No.

What type of key does it have, plain metal or a plastic covered head?  Pull the steering column cover and check for the transponder antenna and wires ( 8 pin connector located on the left side of column, Data wire is BROWN / Orange at pin 6).

If it does the PKALL from DEI will work.  Same as Fortin's Key OverRide All.  ADS iDatalink ADS-TBSL-KO is another option.

Woundering because  KiAs & Hyundais made in Canada and USA differ in having a transponder or not. as my 07 Hyundai Sonata didnt have it but Canadas Models do. Thanks

I've never seen a Sorento with a transponder. I think it's only the Canadian models.

If you have any doubts, you could always get a cheap copy made at the hardware store and see if it starts the car.

Ive done tons of KIAs and none have ever required a transponder bypass until recently. your 05 sportage wont need anything
