I have a 2006 Dodge ram mega cab diesel with a python 991 remote start alarm and using xpresskit xk532 bypass. After installed, I had problems getting the accesories to come on when remote started, but everything else was fine.. I then was able to get accesories working by disconnecting the MUX (purple and white) from xpresskit, and using a relay with negative starter trigger wire and starter output wire to ignition harness(with correct resistance)... But now, the e-brake and abs lights come on when remote started and don't go off until the engine is killed and started with the key...Any Ideas, or similar issues?? Thanks

Did you check for IGN2 and ACC2? ACC2 will give the ABS light if not connected. It is Pink / YELLOW in the ignition harness. IGN 2, if there, is Pink/Green. ------------- Soldering is fun!

Thanks for the quick response... on this vehicle there is no 2nd ignition or 2nd ACC. The accesory wire and starter wire are the same wire, they just have different resistances.

You dont have the correct resistance on the mux wires.
Did you use 2 relays with 2 resistors with those 2 negative trigger wires (start and acc)?

I ment MUX wire, not wires. Sorry.

Don't you either use the MUX from the xpresskit, or use relays with the negative triggers from the alarm... Not both? I had just the MUX wired, but the ac wouldnt come on when remote started... Then I disconnected the MUX and wired just the Starter relay... The ac worked with doing that... Should I try wiring both the Starter relay and Accesory relay... Also, do I cut the starter/acc wire from ignition harness when using the relays? Wiring outputs to (key side) I believe, and center relay post to (car side)... Thanks in advance! ------------- Vance

Do you have small, like 18 Ga. ignition wires? Yes. Pink/White is Ignition.
Dont use the mux output from the 532. Use the (-) starter and Acc outputs from the Viper, with 2 relays and two resistors (starter is 180 ohm and Acc is 610 ohm) on the PURPLE / Brown MUX wire at the ignition switch.
Do you have a Dk. Grn / YELLOW stsrter wire on that truck? If not, ok,...... if so then you need to power that as a (+) starter wire.
There is a DEI document for that MUX resistor/relay wiring, #1084 Sorry I dont have access to my documents at this time.

I appreciate all of your help, I believe I have the directfax document on that... I think I got ahead of myself on the install... Because at first, I tried wiring with no relays, just the MUX from 532... With that, I had no acc, so I started with the relays, after just wiring the starter relay everything worked at first glance without the acc relay...now I will try doing them both, like I guess I should have from the start... I won't have time to work on it until probably Thursday afternoon... So if I still don't have any luck, I guess I will be back on here then... But like I said, thanks alot for everything!! It's good that there are nice, knowledgable people in the world!!!lol thanks..

It really is a very easy truck to do. Power up the ignition, and use that DEI document with the CORRECT value resistors, and you'll have no problem. Using the incorrect resistor values gives you dash lighs, and blower problems.

Will do... And If i am within 5 ohms or so, I should be fine right??

Are you soldering everything? You should be ok. GC Electronics sells those exact values I think..
I like DEI's PKMUX because it does all the resistances and the Keysense (for alarm) on the new Jeeps.

Yes sir, I solder all connections... I couldn't find anything at GC Electronics, and if I order the DEI PKUMUX, is it used in combination with the xpresskit xk532??
