A friend of mine has a 2001 rio.The door locks work off of the drivers door when you manually pull/push it up or down.Is there a wire I can access to tie into the remote starter already in the car?Polarity?

You'll have to connect an actuator in the driver's door and use two relays, Does the car come with a fob that controls the power locks? If not you'll have to install an actuator!

Do you have a rocker switch on the interior controls?
