washer led's hooked up to alarm?

I installed some windshield washer leds and as of now have them hooked to a switch. Is there a way I can hook them up to my alarm status led so they will blink when it is armed? or at least flash when I arm and disarm. I know there is a way by hooking it up to the parking lights. By the way I have a 92 Acura Legend.

Hook up the RED wire to the RED / BLACK wire on one of the parking lights on the fron of the car. Test for this wire to send 12 volts when the parking lights are on and 0 when off.
