Trying to install a bulldog keyless ke1702 system on a 2001 Honda civic lx sedan. found the white w/ blue and green wires behind the drivers kick panel. Connected these and wired for a type b connection as indicated by manual. Keyless will unlock but not lock (clicks). Power door locks do not work while unit is connected to both lock/unlock wires. Any advice w/b appreciated!

Double check your wiring at the KE1702 module and at the Drivers Kick Panel. Specifically, make sure both the Purple and Pruple/Balck wires from the KE1702 are connected and go thru the fuse to chassis ground ( the same place as the Black wire ). The lock output is the GREEN/ Black wire. At the Drivers Kick Panel double check the lock wire, WHITE/ Blue, and the connection to it. It should be in the same connector as the unlock wire. Sometimes cars have more than one of the same color combination wire in the same harness or connector. Did you test it with a DMM? The lock and unlock wires can also be found in the drivers fuse panel. ------------- Soldering is fun!

Don't know how relevant, did you test with the doors opened and the key in the ignition? It won't lock under those circumstances, also as kreg says, did you test the car's lock and unlock wires as kreg357 suggested?

Thanks for the reply. What's a dmm? I did have both of those wires grounded but to metal under the dash and not through the harness. Does this make a difference? Will give it a try, and continuity check the lock/unlock wires to be sure they are the right ones. Regarding the second reply, I did test w/ the doors shut, pretty sure thatthe key wasn't in the ignition but will do a second check. Thanks again for the help.

Ah - didn't know the acronym. Yes did test it w/ that.
Just tried it again w/ suggestions and had no luck.
Confirmed that the two wires I was tapping into in the kick panel were the correct ones. Verified lock/unlock function of each wire w/ voltage drop on actuation from door lock switch.
White w/ green stripe - 12v constant, voltage dip on unlock, no continuity to ground
White w/ blue stripe, 12v constant, voltage dip on lock, no continuity to ground.
Black wire (at switch, not used w/ remote unlock, evidently) No voltage, continuity to ground.
Hooked system back up w/ ground to harness per instructions.
Purple @ black wire + ground wire to ground
Blue/black to unlock wire
GREEN/ black to lock wire
Same functionality as before - will lock the doors, but just a click from the bulldog box on unlock. Door lock switch does not operate the locks as long as one of the lock/unlock wires is connected to the bulldog harness.
Verified door closed @ no keys in ignition.
There is a relay that came in the box, but as far as I can tell from the instructions it is not used for this function.

The extra relay in the box is probably for the Starter Kill circuit. Try disconnecting the KE1702 from the door lock wires. Attach the red DMM lead to +12v constant. Attach the black lead to either lock or unlock output wire. Press the corresponding Bulldog remote FOB button. The DMM reading should go from 0 to +12v when you hear the relay click. This pulse should be .7 second. If they both appear normal the Bulldog is OK. If the KE1702 is OK then triple check your cars Lock and UnLock wires with the DMM. You can use the same method as above. Red to +12v constant and Black to either door lock/unlock wire. If they test correctly, you should see the DMM go from 0 to +12v with the pulse. These wires should be in a harness in the driver kick panel. This harness comes from the door thru a hole in the drivers kick panel. ------------- Soldering is fun!
