This is obviously VERY dangerous. Viper 7901 was recently installed everything works perfectly. Not sure what could be causing this any ideas? It might have been a one time thing I'll try to repeat the conditions when it stops raining. It was instant as soon as the 12v was connected. Weird.
Thank you.

Forgot to add this is an 02 Honda Accord auto with power everything. No oem alarm system. Using a 556UW bypass. Like I said everything works, remote start, locks, arming, disarming, sirens, triggers etc. Maybe this is a programming error?
Correction alarm is a 5901 not 7901.

I believe this is quite normal, it's mentioned in the instructions, I believe this topic last came up about two years ago.

I just looked over the 5901 install manual, owners manual and 556UW manual and none of them mention this. I googled it and nothing comes up.

Do you have a hood pin installed?

There should be a Warning Lable, like the one above, near the battery explaining that reconnecting the battery might cause the remote starter to engage. One issue I had on my car was that the hood pin was a bit corroded and did not function properly. Switched it out for a mercury switch.

Yea I'm going to order a mercury switch although it is working fine.
smokeman1: Your rightI do remember seeing that sticker somewhere I'll just slap that on then. That takes care of that problem. Just wanted to make sure I didn't do anything wrong.
Thanks for the replies.

use DEI stuff all the time. go under the dash and pull the inline fuses on the 5901. then connect the battery. then put the fuses back in and you'll be fine
