I installed a Viper 5901 on my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon 6 speed MT. I am having some issues with it. When i installed it the alarm shock sensor triggered, since then you could probably throw the brain at a brick wall and and it wouldn't go off. I also noticed that if the alarm is triggered by the door, that putting the key in the ignition does not reset the alarm. The led flashes until i unplug the harness from the brain. The car has a 1 wire lock/unlock and it works fine. the lights flash when locked/ unlocked, and the siren works. The only things that do not work is ignition, remote start, shock sensor. I have a friend that is an installer and he programmed my alarm with the handheld programmer. Any help would be appreciated.
The module is'nt receiving an ignition input. Is the Pink Ignition wire from the module hooked up to the ignition.
If not, the alarm memory wont be reset when the key is turned on, stop the LED and clear the NPC preventing the shock sensor from triggering the alarm.
yes. i metered the wire and it only turns on when the key is in the on position. the wire setup i was told to use is like this.
Big wires on module wires in car
all red wires red wire on ignition switch
pink orange ignition wire
orange pink ignition wire
green key side white wire
purple starter side white wire

do you have 3 reds in the ignition harness? 2 should be constant +12V. the other is your IGN1. the pink/white IGN2 goes to pink in the car and orange goes to orange. the white stays the same
