Hi all, i'm new to this forum, glad i found it though, looks like theres some really good interesting stuff to have a go with here ! I think i'm posting in the right place but moderators please feel free to move if i've incorrectly posted :)

Ok, what i'm looking to do is have my LED day running lights switch on and light up when i press the unlock button on my remote keyfob, I have the lights fitted to a 2005 Vauxhall/Opel Astra as an homemade aftermarket option, I know a little bit about car electrics but i dont know all of the ins and outs, i know i'll need to find a signal/trigger wire that gets 12v when i unlock the car to power a relay and some sort of timed delay to keep them switched on for around 20 seconds or so. They're not connected to any other set of lights in the car, they are independently fed from a switched 12V ignition feed and then on to a simple latching on/off switch. Would someone be good enough to help me with a diagram in order to point me in the right direction and hopefully get this working. thanks in advance

Do your interior lights come on when unlocking the doors via the keyfab? Negative door trigger?
