I'm getting a cover for my truck that has actuators controlled by a remote. I want to be able to open it from a wired push button setup in the cab that doesn't restrict the use of the remote.
I have no clue how to do anything like this.
The truck is a 2010 F150 Screw.

We are clueless about the remote system you have.  Can you take a picture of the installation diagram or post a link to the installation instructions for the remote unit?

The remote itself is just a two button remote, exactly like a car remote. One button you can press, the other you must hold until the action of the actuators has completed.
The unit that receives the signal is completely enclosed and has a wire harness that connects to the actuators, and a lead to the battery.
What I would like to do is take the spare remote and connect power to it instead of the cell battery inside, and then use two push buttons mounted to my dash to control.

This is my first modification to my truck, and my first vehicle, so I'm just learning everything. Hopefully I prove to be a quick learner for this kind of stuff!

Thank you,

When you get the unit, if you can take it apart and look for the 2 relays mounted to the booard, take pictures of both sides of the circuit board, I am sure we can make it happen.
