I have had an 02 celica gt for about 2.5 years and now i am selling it. i replaced some stuff in it (speakers, head unit, and ran wires for a subwoofer/amp) after reconnecting the battery I found out the car had an alarm. Found out how to put in in valet mode and was recommended to disconnect the long wire adapter to disable the alarm. worked out fine. I bought a replacement remote for the alarm with the intent to program it and sell the car with an alarm. Upon reconnecting the alarm it does not do anything. I can make the siren go off by manually testing the board but I cannot get it to go into the learn routine or anything. Probably something simple but i have never had an alarm and cannot figure it out. posted_image

its basically a Viper alarm. Verify red has 12v+ black has ground, and yellow is 12v with ignition on

Make sure valet switch is plugged in and working. Now follow the transmitter learn routine that came with your new replacement remote. also make sure antenna is intact and plugged in
