nissan quest 2001 door trigger trouble

Hey guys i have a Nissain Quest 2001 and i installed a Scytech Astra 4000rs2w-1 alarm. My promblem is even when all the doors are closed the door trigger wires still have about 6 volts ruunninh through them and this keeps causing the alarm to trigger and 2 way remote says the door is open. Du\ring install my multimeter showed when the door was opeen there were 12 volts in all the door trigger wires. And after closign the doors and locking them there are still 6 votls. The drover door trigger wire i used is Red in the drivers kick panel. Anyone have any ideas on why this is going on. Thanks

Also the 12volt.com wiring diagram for  the nissain quest 2001 seems incorrect. The wiring diagram off of www.bulldogsecurity.com and commando alarms is more accurate.

According to this site the triggers on that vehicle are negative going and need to be diode isolated as they are all separate! Going by the info you posted i would say you have the wrong door wire!

Well according to the wiring diagrams the drivers door is a red wire in the drivers kick panel. And that is what i used, in fact it is the only red wire in their. Also when the door closes the voltage drops to 6 volts it just doesnt go to 0 like it should.

Well then you have the wrong wire! Also negative trigger wires read ground or "zero" when the door is open! Not when the door is closed!

I have tested all four wires listed to be the door triggers. The red wire, the red whites, and the red green. They all read negative 12 volts when open and 8 volts when closed. I have installed 5 alarms mostly in Hondas and Toyotas and every time the door trigger wires either read 12 volts or 0 volts. So Do you guys think their is somethign wrong with te door pins.

It sounds like you may be reading the feedback from the smart entry control module. You will need to diode isolate each trigger. Install the diodes with the band away from the alarm module. Another option is to pick up the BROWN / white wire at the SEC module or at one of the domelights. This wire is a negative trigger also and the SEC unit is located behind the center dash near the accelerator pedal. The BROWN / white wire also times out if a door is left open, so take that into consideration if you use it.

Thanks for the reply. So if i use the brown white wire at the SEC unit will that cover all the doors or just one of them. And does this wire operate like a normal door trigger wire. Thanks and t&t tech thanks for ure help also.

The BROWN / white covers all of the doors and will show ground with the doors open and you will see about 12V with the doors closed.
