Quick background on the project:

viper 5901 installed in 1991 Q45.

Viper 5902 installed in 2001 Toyota Tundra.

After the installer finished the 5902 install in my truck, he paired the remote without first naming the cars in the remote. This paired the remote to both vehicles on the same frequency. The installer is trying to reset the alarm in the Q45 so that he can
re-pair the remote on a different frequency from the Tundra.

All help is much appreciated.

Shane

"Zap" the transmitters (erase them) and then reprogram them.  Simple.

That sounds like a great suggestion. Since I am not the installer could you provide me with a set of step by step instructions on "zapping the remotes?

you need a bitwriter to zap or flash the brain back to factory settings.
