I jiust installed the Prostart 3300 and bypass kit 556uw in my Mutsubishi Endeavor 2006 and I got some weird problems.

When I press the start button on the remote the ignition goes on and the starter works but the egnine won't start. Then the Prostart makes a second attempt  to start the engine (Prostart is programmed to do it 3 times) it always starts and works fine. I have another module Prostart 3200, when I try it  there is the same problem.

The engine always starts with  key from the first without any problem.

Can somebody tell me is it the installation problem or something wrong with the bypass kit?

You're not alone, same problem with my Galant going back 3 years! It always works second attempt.

I am not familiar with your remote start unit, but if it is programmable for a diesel, you may want to try and set it to the shortest delay, there may be a problem with the GWR wire not showing ground soon enough.  If this is the case, the car sees no key on the first attempt.

is the tach wire connected or are you using the tachless mode?

The tach wire is connected to the module and I just reconnected the ground wire to make it nice and solid. The problem has  NOT gone.
