Another stupid question: Alpine sec-150r. How do I add my hood AND trunk pins to system when it only has one blue wire for hood/trunk input??? Also, it only has one wire for the door trigger.....do I not need to connect to each door? Thanks

the hood and pin wires can be connected together without any affects. just add a hood pin and a trunk pin and connect all three of them together..
As far as the door wire , connect to the dome light wire to the wire that is for the door trigger for the alarm. Remember that all the wires from the doors turn of the light so that is the best place for this connection. Also depending on the car it might be somewhere close to the fuse box. Good luck

For the hood/trunk pin wires, I think you have to diode isolate each wire, though...otherwise when you open the hood, the trunk light might come on (on your dash lights). I had separate wires for mine, so I'm sure someone can verify this.

Food for thought here...... if you tap into the trunk light for the trunk trigger and it's a (+) trigger you will require a relay to convert the signal to a (-) so you don't fry the CPU on the alarm .
