I am putting a keyless entry on a 2005 jetta, from the diagram it looks like the lock wire is a single lead. Do I cut it or just wire the 2 keyless leads with the resistor on the unlock trigger? Thanks Michael

If you have a keyless entry that has the relays onboard then yes, that is how you will wire it up. If not you'll need to add relays to make sure the car reads the proper voltage.

RS only has 220 or 270 would one of these work in the place of a 240ohm. Thanks Michael

Just try the 220 to the lock wire with gound and see if it works.

If your system only has (-) outputs for lock/unlock, try just running it from the module thru the resistor to the wire for unlock.

If the output from the module IS'NT strong enough, you'll need to use relays.  If the module you're using has relays like Cpalmer said, you'll be fine.

If it's an older Viper unit with the flip/flop +/- output locks.  Use a diode on the lock wire, band towards the alarm brain, and the resistor on the unlock wire.  You may not need relays with this setup.
