2000 Venture Value Van Keyless

I have an audiovox PRO9845 Keyless entry installed on this van that did not come with Keyless remote.  Everything works OK except for Illuminated entry.  Only wiring diagrams I have seen show domelight trigger at headlamp switch purple wire as (-).  However, this is not the case.  I'm fairly certain it's a (-) trigger, but don't know which wire is the trigger for this vehicle. 

If all else fails, you can always go right to the domelight. Or, if the van has an underdash courtesy light, that would be the easiest place.

Here is a tech sheet for your car, which lists the trigger as gray/black at the BCM. If your headlight switch also has a domelight on/off function, I'd look for the gray/black there.

Also, you might be able to get away with this without having to buy/install a relay. If you look at all the individual door triggers (the tan, blue, orange), they are usually low-current wires. Find and identify the driver's door trigger, and you will probably be able to tie your keyless' domelight output directly into there.

Also, just in case you don't know, domelight output on the PRO9845 is GREEN / WHITE.

Thanks Chris...the Grey/Black wire at the BCM worked perfectly.  I already had a relay, so I went ahead and used it, but it's good to know that I might not need it if I ever have to make a change.  Also, I wasn't installing an alarm or sensors so I didn't need to isolate the circuits with diodes.   Regards, Matt
