Guys, I've got a problem with my door locks, I've got a 04 3 with power locks. Usually the lock can be activated/deactivated using the alarm remote (viper 5002) and when the car is running it could have been activated/deactivated by manually flipping the door lock on the driver's side. Recently the door lock has become impossible to flip, however i can still lock all doors using the alarm remote. Is there anyway that i can run an extra switch to activate the locks while the car is running? Please pardon my English.

Regards,

A momentary switch wired to send a ground signal thru a 1000 Ohm resistor to the {L}ock wire in your car (the wire your alarm is connected to) will lock the doors,  and a straight ground signal thru a momentary switch to the same wire will unlock the doors.  Simple.

Put  a small, dual position momentary rocker switch (commonly used for locks or windows) on your console, for a power lock switch.

Well since it's already functioning through the alarm i'm assuming the resisitor would already be in place, so, just use the momentary switch as mark said, it should have three terminals a common one and two open, the common pin goes to ground and the other two pins one to lock wire and the other to the unlock!
