Depending on what else you are doing, the Tahoe is a good candidate for a "Door Lock Module" due to the manual relay & hardwire install required.

Here is the info from Bulldog Security:

Note #2: Require a Door LOCK/UNLOCK Module, XK01 with GMDL6X 4.00 FIRMWARE. Without Lock Module, the
Drivers Door LOCK/UNLOCK Motor wires are PURPLE-TAN (Reverse Polarity, 5-wire
type) @ the Drivers Window Switch (BROWN 16-Pin Plug) Pins 7 and 8.
The Passenger Door LOCK/UNLOCK Motor wires are TAN- GRAY/BLACK (Reverse
Polarity, 5-wire type) @ the Passenger Window Switch (BROWN 16-Pin Plug) Pins
7 and 8.
The Rear Door Lock/Unlock wires are LT. BLUE (+) and WHITE (-) @ BCM, GRAY Plug,
Pins 7 and 9.

Gotta agree, i rmrber doing these before the modules came out and it's a real PITA. You need to wire 2 relays in the drivers door, 2 relays in the passenger door, and possibly 2 for rears(depending on the alarm output. Do yourself a favor and get a module...

You can do this vehicle with only 2 relays if you like.   It is not an easy task, but it can be done.  It does require some very detailed soldering and following some traces on the circuit board contained in the drivers door panel.  It is going to take lots of typing on my part.  If you are up to it and consider yourself a soldering ninja, let me know and I will give you some instructions.

Data modules are great when they work.  They do fail.

This is a picture of what has to happen at the chip on the board in the drivers door.  You will need way more instruction than just the picture, if you still wish to do it, let me know.
