mysticz4r:

I would disarm the system and then place in valet mode until you are able to get another remote.

This is from the user manual:

Disarming without a Transmitter:

The override function may be used if the remote transmitter is lost or inoperative

1. Enter the vehicle and turn the ignition switch to “ON” position. (Alarm will Sound)

2. Within 10 seconds push and release the valet switch, the alarm will stop sounding and enter

the disarm mode. You can now start and operate the vehicle normally.

Valet Mode (System in Disarm or Valet Mode)

The valet switch allows you to temporarily bypass all alarm functions eliminating the need to hand

your transmitter to parking attendants or garage mechanics. When the system is in valet mode, all

alarm functions and remote start functions are bypassed, however the remote panic feature and

remote door locks will remain operational. To use the valet mode, the system must first be

disarmed either by using your remote transmitter, or by operating the manual override sequence.

Enter the Valet Mode:

1. In the disarmed mode, turn the ignition to

“ON” position.

2. Push and hold the valet switch for 2 seconds

until the LED turns on solid. The LED will

remain on solid while the unit is in the

valet mode.

Exit the Valet Mode:

1. To return to normal operation, turn “ON” ignition.

2. Push and hold valet switch for 2 seconds. The LED will turn off to indicate the system is now

out of the valet mode.

the disarm mode. You can now start and operate the vehicle normally.

mysticz4r:

You could program your system for passive arming, either with or without passive door locking (refer to install guide link, feature bank1).   With this configured, the alarm will arm (or arm and lock the doors) 30 seconds after the last door is closed.   The issue with this approach is that without the remote,  the alarm will sound every time you open the car door after the alarm has armed, forcing you to disarm with the valet switch as described above.  You can still put the system in valet mode once disarmed.

I would leave the vehicle in valet mode unless you are leaving it for an extended period and want the alarm active, but without the remote, this is your option to arm and disarm the alarm.
