Hi, I need help on hooking up to the parking lights function on the Viper 5901on my car (1998 Rav4 Automatic  4 door AWD). I got everything to work on the alarm:  Remote Start, sunroof window up/down, dome light,  doors, even the  Rear defogger.  Except,  I can not seem to get this Parking light to function to work, I think it suppose to light up when I arm/ disarm and when the alarm is on full trigger.  It is not doing anything.

This is what I did: I hook this up without a relay the the wiring diagram which say it is at

Diagram says:

1. Parking Light Negative Wire (-): Light Green
(Location: At Steering Column Harness)

2. Parking Light Positive Wire (+): Green
(Location: At 15-Pin White Plug, Left Of The Steering Column)

I hooked up the alarm negative parking light wire to the Vechicle Parking Light Negative Wire (-): Light Green.  I set it up in the alarm brain  menu for parking light = constant output.

and Nothing happens. Parking light doesn't light up. Do I need a relay.

Thank you for any help you can give me. This is my first car alarm I installed.

I just solved this issue, polarity fused jumper was never hooked up: set to negative.

One more question, if I want my headlights to flash too.  Do I just hook the alarm parking light (-) out put to the vechicle headlights (-)?

Yes there should be a neg going wire at the steering column harness, ground it and it will bring on your hi beams. BUT diode separate from the white wire and what about your battery drain?

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
