I have a 2006 chevy cobalt and trying to install an AutoStart remote start system. I have the xpresskit bypass module and which doesnt require a key. I click on the start button and nothing happens but the horn will honk a couple times posted_image the only thing I think it could be is the ignition wire or accessory/blower wire. But I put a multimeter to the ignition wire and pressed the start button and no voltage was read through that wire (Both accessory/blower and ignition wire are connected at bcm, not ignition if that could make a difference?). Could the remote start module just be bad? This is puzzeling me. The starter wire is not connected because I read that it doesn't need to be wired for the cobalts.

If the horn is beeping a few times the remote start may be giving you a diagnostic code for why it's not starting. What does the install manual say?

did you wire the hood pin switch? if its grounded it wont let the remote start happen.

I am using Xpresskit xk06.  When I programmed it the led blinked 3 times saying it learned the code.  The hood pin switch is grounded but only reads a ground when the hood is open.  I connected the multimeters positive connector to the ignition wire and it wasnt reading voltage when I would try to remote start it.
