I have had issues with my hood pin. This is a Viper 5902 install into a 2010 Ford Escape. The hood pin is NO. The 5902 will indicate the hood is open when it is closed. Monitoring the Pin (H2/15) at the connector of the 5902 shownd many mohms when it's closed and a very low resistance when open-like it should. I found that if I first applied power to the 5902 with the the H2 connector removed, and then connected H2, all was well.

Has anybody else experienced this?

That's the best answer though I believe you can programme late Vipers for open circuit door open.
Other option is to use a DTIMazda from DEI, probably because your doors are the same, I'm just guessing, I've never even seen a Fusion.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

I installed the hood pin and it is dedicated to the 5902.

The 5902 does have programming ability for either NO or NC on the hood pin. This is not a Fusion but an Escape although I suspect they both have the same logic.

it should be in the user manual/install guide.

go to downloads and use the 5901 document.
