hello just wondering if any one could help me. i have put a starter alarm into a 2010 hyundia genesis standard and used 1101t dei bypass kit for proximity keys. the problem im running into is that the car will not start unless i push the unlock or lock or any button on the factory remote to get the car to start. its like the car will not see the key unless that happens? any suggestions would be great

if the vehicle will not start unless you unlock, most likely you have the starter kill installed wrong.

if you cant remote start until you press ANY button on the remote, you might have to wake up the PDM. On vehicles with Smart Key, the key fob sense wire is RED (-) in White 10 Pin Plug Pin#9 or at the PDM in White 20 pin plug, pin#12

The PDM (Power Distribution Module) is under the driver dash, to the right of the steering column.

The 1101t will not work in any new pts Hyundai. You need to do a key wrap on the smart key and the key port. The catch is that you can't wrap the outside of the key port because it will not get the signal. The key port must be disassembled and the factory antenna ( on a white piece of plastic) must be wraped. It's not as bad as it sounds.

When you get it back, make sure to remove the battery from the smart key. Also, when you disassemble the key port you will see a white "pedestal" with the the factory windings around it. The "pedestal" is only connected to the pcb on one side so you can gently lift up on the other side and sneak the ring from a 555u or equivalent around it. Good luck.
