I just finish to install a Prostart 5000 on my matrix 2005.
The lock/unlock feature don'T work at all.
I use those wire : Lock : Green in driver kick and Unlock :blue / YELLOW in driver kick .
When I lock and unlock the alarm system work fine but nothing on the power lock.
I try every time pulse timing option.7/10 sec. 4 sec. 1/8 sec.
When I disconnect the wire on the lock wire and I touch it with the one from the prostart computer, it work, I got it lock. Why , I don't know because it suppose to work only when I push my remote button. So that probably mean I got the right wire.
Any idea ?
P.S. A week before I install one on my caravan and everything work so it's my second installation....I am not a pro but I know what an I doing..
Sorry for the typo I am franco
Thanks

Think you are suffering from a bad ground...pauvre masse.
Otherwise take a multimeter and check the alarm's lock and unlock outputs.
Lastly, with key removed from ignition, ground the green then the blue / YELLOW to make sure you have the correct wires.

I try to ground my green and blue / YELLOW wire to be sure I have the right one and I got nothing. So I disconected the 2 wire attach to the green and the two attach to the blue / YELLOW witch comming from my alarm remote system and I try it again with success. So It's realy the right wire but something happen with my alamrm system. I try to change the ground too but same thing. When I put the wire from the unlock system to the power unlock wire the car unlock ,same thing for lock, Like the system is already at the position active. I mean it do the same thing than if I put a ground.
Do I need to use a relay to do the reverse?.
Am I suppose to use a + wire instead of a - one ?
Any Idea.
By the way thanks for the speed of you reply, your are great.

No relays required, I assume your unit has a green for lock and a blue for unlock, they should be tested, should give a NEG pulse on activation.

On My green and blue / YELLOW wire not activated i have 2.2 volt when I lock it with the key in the cylinder I get 0 Volt.
When I meter the wire from the remotye system I have already 0 Volt without activation, and something like .500 volt when I push the remote button. So that mean I ground the door lock wire on the car when I put my remote starter cable on it . So thar why it's not working . I ground it.
How that work? When I push my remote I active a switch in the remote system witch became close and that put the wire to the ground ?
Thanks

Still haven't find what is wrong with it. Here all the reading I take :
On the wire for unlock on the system but not attach to my unlock cable on my car = not active: 1.5 volt active: 1.7
When I join the unlock cable to the cable on my car : not active 0.02 volt and active : 0.6 volt.
If I touch the unlock cable with my unlock system cable the car unlock. If I ground the system unlock cable the car unlock.
Any idea?
Thanks

Ok , I finaly decided to try the other prostart system I have install on my caravan , not exactly the same model 5010 instead of 5000 but all the cabling are the same and my power lock start working fine with this one .
So it was the F*&?%ing system it self.
Thanks guys for your help
