I have an Autostart in my Jeep I think it's the 1100. The remote is a 5 button one #J5F-TX2000. I have two remotes, one for the Jeep that came with it and another one that I got from a friend and just programmed for the Jeep.

The problem is the remotes work and then don't work. When the work the green LED flashes once and then a few times quick. That's when it works right. When it doesn't the remote only blinks once. I mostly use it for keyless entry.

So I believe it's only a one way system so are my remotes messed up? I tried new batteries in my orginal remote a while ago and it didn't help but have not tried new ones for this remote yet.

its most likely when it doesnt work, it is in car mode 2.

this means one remote can control up to 2 cars.
