I have an aftermarket alarm installed alongside the factory system. Occasionally the factory alarm goes off i never have this trouble usually its someone using my car or a mechanic or whoever maybe using the key or something im not sure what causes it. anyway when it goes off the the only way to stop it is using the factory remote.

long story short and my question is.. i see the factory alarm can be disarmed using a - pulse to a certain pin in the control module. would it be safe to use the unlock - pulse from my after market alarm so that everytime i disarm/unlock using aftermarket remote it unlocks and disarms the factory at same time? would i need a relay or diode or could i just wire it all together.

the cars a 2008 sentra the alarms an audivox 995
Thanks Ryan

I am not sure about your Nissan, but I can tell you what causes this on GM products.  If whoever else is in the car and they lock the door with the door lock switch, this arms the factory alarm.  When you drive it, you are probably using the aftermarket remote to lock the doors.  If locked with the aftermarket remote it does not arm the factory alarm.  If it is locked with the car's switch it arms the alarm and it is looking for the disarm pulse that the aftermarket alarm is not giving it.

i think so too and its never a problem for me i never have trouble with it. ive had the car for two years now and have two remotes dangling on the keychain it would be nice to finally just have one.

THERE IS AN OPEN PIN IN THE KEYLESS ENTRY CONNECTOR NEXT TO THE VIOLET TRUNK RELEASE WIRE, THIS WILL DISARM THE FACTORY ALARM IF EQUIPPED WITH A (-) PULSE

Module 5 KEYLESS MODULE- ABOVE GAS PEDAL

yes i read that but the question is would it be safe to use the - pulse from unlock wire on aftermarket alarm which i think would be fine but should i use a relay or diode since im using that wire to actually unlock the car too.

Yes you can use the alarm's unlock pulse to disarm the factory alarm.
