Do I need an extra relay to hook up the dome light for a 97 ford expedition for the Viper 5901?

Yes. The Vipers' H1/9 BLACK/ White is a (-) 200 mA Dome Light output. Bulldog lists the 97 Expedition Dome Light Supervision wire as (+) BLACK/ Light Blue.

There is a Viper 5901 Install Guide in the downloads section of this site. See page 16 and 17 for additional info and relay diagram. ( There is a typo at the top of page 17. It says H1/4 instead of H1/9. )
