I would say have I have installed quite a few alarms and have used a number of companies. Personally, DEI makes great alarms, with MANY features, the only problem that I have had with their alarms is programming them to certain vechicles. I have worked with Crimestopper alarms, which I now carry at my shop. Personally I believe they are much more user friendly. I have also worked with some of the Clifford alarms, right as they were being bought out by DEI, and they were horrible as far as wiring goes, just a bunch of crap that Clifford had going at that time. I believe their alarms/wiring is better now that DEI has began to changeover their schematics. Ultra Start is a brand that I have not used to this date, however I have heard that they are relatively easy to work with. Code Alarm is another good brand to look into.
