If you have the gray Sentry keys, the iDatalink ADS TBSL-C1, or Fortin PATS-Chrysler will take care of the transponder immobilizer nicely.   Two working keys are required to program the bypass module.

There are other more expensive bypass modules that will also handle the door locks, factory alarm and supply a tach signal.  Also a programmed key hidden in a DEI 556U will work, but you are giving up a key.

I haven't done one for a while...  There are a couple of ways to check, like wrapping the key head with aluminum foil, but the best way is to open up the steering column and look at ignition switch for immobilizer antenna ring.  Another way is to get a plain key made for $1.89 and try to start the truck.  ( If it won't start, you can still use the plain key to make programming the bypass easier. )

if you have a black key you do not have an immobiliser, if you have the grey key an ads module (idatalink) module namely the ads tb flashed with ch6 firmware for immobiliser bypass or a alca or dl for doorlocks with the same firmware and they both program with only one key
