Anyone familiar with them? I gotta install a remote starter on a Honda Pilot. Ill be using the XK05. https://www......com/item_13996_XpressKit+XK05+.html Its been awhile since ive used them. Do they come preloaded with the right firmware or am I going to have to get the XKLoader programming tool for it? Ive used the Flashlogic bypasses before and I know some of them come preloaded with the right firmware, but havent used these much.

Thanks.

The XK05 comes preloaded with something.  There is a white sticker on the bottom side that tells you which firmware it is.  Currently there are like 11 different possibilities.  The older modules had a red sticker on the top that listed all the firmares and a filled in box for the one loaded at the factory.  It is best to have a XKLoader cable so you can double check the firmware and update the version if necessary.

If you don't want the go that route with an XKLoader cable, use the PKH34.  It comes preloaded and covers 2005 thru 2010 Pilots.  If you can find one, the PKH2 will do the 2003 - 2004's.  Better yet get a PKALL.   It comes preloaded and will cover all Pilots.

Thanks for the help.

Problem is the guy ordered the XK05 bypass already. I guess I should buy the XKLoader just to be on the safe side huh? Could come in handy if I do more.....

If you get a XKLoader cable, make sure its the newer XKLoader2.  It can also handle the CanMax400 modules.

I worked on the Pilot today. Good thing I ordered XKLoader because it did need to be flashed.

I have a question on this general topic and can't seem to locate an answer.

I have an 08 Acura TSX and am putting in the Viper 5901 and have the XK01 and PKH34. If I use D2D, then how will I connect both to the Viper brain? Can you splice the wires onto the other module's D2D wires? Or should I just use W2W for everything? I wanted the D2D so that it would operate the windows and trunk release without a bunch of extra modules.
