Hi just bought a used Ford Escape with Avital 4203 intsalled.

How can I find the "programming switch" and the "shutdown switch".  Want to change the horn beeps and the runtime.

I have the owners guide and have downloaded the installation guide.

Do I need to hire a psychic?

:-)

Thanks,

Bob

The programming button is usually in the fuse box location or tied somewhere under the dash. It will have a on gray wire and one black wire going to it.

The shutdown switch might not have been installed.  It would be connected to the ground wire, and then either the Gray hoodpin wire, or the BLACK/ White neutral safety wire.

And the programming button would be plugged into the end of the control module, next to the LED, and this too may have not been installed.
