does anybody knows if the k-9 alarms of Omega has any problems?
if somebody knows anytjing ,please let me know.
I've retailed them since 1995 with only 4 or 5 defective units. All of the units were AU-REC4LX remote start modules. I've never had any other defective equipment from them.
I've found Omega to have good product and excellent support for both me (retailer) and my customers.

hey dave,
i just bought a omega AU-REC4LX. do you know if after i remote start my car if my oem keyless entry is disable or the module has a ignition bypass built in the omega and my keyless with still work? also is there anything i should know before installing it in my 1996 dodge grand caravan. THANKS
Don
A 96 Caravan is an easy install for a remote starter. You should have no problems. As far as the ignition wire, the module has a built in relay to cut off voltage to an alarm's ignition lead which allows the alarm to function while the car is running under "remote start".
The factory keyless may present a problem - I don't know for sure, I've never done a remote start on an OEM keyless-equipped car. I imagine there ought to be an ignition sensing wire to the keyless module, as it would tell the system when to ignore "lock/unlock" signals when the engine is running normally. I would suggest you take a look at the factory schematic for the keyless system.
Sorry I can't offer better advice on this one.
