comfort closure on sequoia 06 with xk01

I have the XK01 connected with Viper 5901 in my Toyota Sequoia 06 for the door lock/unlock interface. I've programmed the Comfort closure feature but it does not seem to work. Is it because I have the XK01?

Your Sequoia Does not have this feature.
Some cars automatically roll up the windows when the "LOCK" is activated. Your Sequoia does not do this. If you want the windows to roll up you will need some window Modules.
The feature you enabled on the alarm simply "HOLDS" the lock for 20 seconds to allow the windows to roll if your car has this feature.

You can't do comfort closure through the XK01 with that car. If you do the above test by holding the key in the drivers door cylinder to lock, and the windows roll up. All you need to do is to wire the door locks in the drivers door, Skipping the XK01. Its actually not to hard, I had done one this pass winter. The Sequoia I did, closed the windows from the drivers side key hole.

Also there is no need to run a constant 12volts into the door if you decide to do this. There is a constant already there at the power window switch. I believe it was blue and in a corner of the plug. But with a meter, its easy to find :)

Far as I know, comfort closure was always a European thing, dating from the early 90s. Mainly (Euro) GM, VW/Audi. BMW, Jag and Mercedes.
The only Toyotas to my knowledge are Lexus SUV and some Auras (Euro name for the Corolla).
The only way to test is as above mentioned.

Actually, Sequoia does have that. If I lock the driver door with my key and hold it, the 2 front windows roll up. If I turn the other way, they both go down. Same thing with the sunroof. So I guess I need to take out the XK01 then. Thanks to all that replied.

If I wire the door lock using the relay as in your diagram, would the OEM keyless entry still work? Maybe I would not need that but just wondering.

Then it works one of two ways:-
Find the vehicle's lock trigger wire, it may be in the door, I'm not sure. Extend timing. Use direct lock and unlock from the alarm, and by-pass the XK01
In the driver's kick well on a plug will be some wires. Probe them via a pos signal, this may send individual windows up and down.

Sorry, I missed the last post but firstly, no it shouldn't hinder the factory keyless and secondly, on an RX recently I went straight to the lock and unlock wires at the actuator in the rear of the driver's door, no relay, extended the lock time, job done.

     Yes, remove the XK01 and run the lock and unlock wires directly into the drivers door. There is plenty of room in the black rubber tube between the car body and door. You can find out how to take the door off if yo do a quick google search for "sequoia door panel removal"

Once in the door you will run your wires towards the power window switch at the armrest. This is were you make your connections. There is room for the relay there also. Turn Comfort closure on and you are good to go. Nothing else needed. Locks will work, car will arm/disarm, and now you will have windows that close when you lock the doors.

If you want to control the windows going down, then you need to run a 3rd wire in off an Auxiliary channel of your Unit. Make sure you can set that auxillary output to either stay on for as long as you hold down the button on the remote, or can be set to about 10 seconds or so.

Don't go on about Euro Cars, the Sequoia is US only. You want nasty, I did a Lumina last week, just add keyless entry. The Lumina is the Japanese domestic version of the Previa. On the Previa it's a 10 minute job. Not this one, data at the driver's door switch AND actuator, found two sets of motor wires commoned them together, found it was working on both fronts and drive side rear, had to dig out another set, different colours for the passenger rear and hatch! For obvious reasons excluding any German 2003 and on and all nasty Peugeots I find Euro cars very easy.

I am assuming that I have to connect the Aux output to the unlock wire. Would that mean every time I roll down the window with the Aux button, then the door will unlock also?

I follow these instructions when I do this car. It was posted by a member here Chris Luongo, but on a different forum. I copied and pasted from his post:Easier than typing :)

To roll down the front windows, and open the sunroof: Connect an auxillary channel of your alarm to the GREEN/ red Unlock wire.

[Instructions for customer: First, you must unlock the driver's door using the remote. Then, press and hold the auxillary channel, until the windows are open as far as you'd like. If desired, you can then press Lock on the remote to re-lock the car and re-arm the alarm; the windows will still stay down.]

Thanks. I did the wiring and the comfort closure works fine. The Aux 1 also opens windows/sunroof. However, whenever I lock/arm the alarm, it'll close windows/sunroof again. I can not get it to stay down.

Thats because when you turn on the comfort closure feature, EVERY time you lock the doors the windows will go up. If you want it to be your choice if they go up or not, you need to use another aux output. Connect that other aux output to the lock wire, before the relays or diodes. Then turn off comfort closure. This way you control when the windows go up by pressing the aux.
