I'm having trouble installing a RS730 alarm system on a dodge charger. I have the ads-al-ca idatalink module which is wired correctly and was programmed correctly. Now when I try to program the alarm system, I don't get any feedback from the siren or led. I have the module and the alarm system connected via rs232 cable.

I tried to reset the module, but the light isn't working. I don't know if it's because it's already program or just waiting for the alarm to be programmed.

Is there anyway I can hook the alarm up using basic connections to see if it's operational?

It doesnt seem like you have the alarm installed correctly. Unplug the idatalink cable and get the alarm working first.

Make sure you have all the primary wires hooked up (thick wires). Neutral safety wire...if its an auto....just ground it. Black wire on the alarm....ground it. Hook up the brake switch wire. Those are the basic wires for the alarm/remote starter.

If the LED on the idatalink didnt blink....then you dont have it programmed correctly. And heres another question. Does the module need to be flashed? If so, then it wont work no matter what you try to do.

Yes the module was flashed and it did the program sequence correctly. when I connect the yellow wire to the module (which is for door status)my door chimes until it's closed. so even though I have the module I still have to hook up the other wires from the alarm? which ones?
