Please define "Chugs".
Will it start properly with a working key in the ignition cylinder but left at the OFF position?
Any security type lights on the instrument panel? Perhaps a green key symbol?
What type bypass did you use? Did it program OK? ------------- Soldering is fun!

I think he means that it doesnt start at all. Do what kreg said. Put a working key in the cylinder. Try remote starting it. If it starts...its a problem with the bypass. If it doesnt start....then maybe you dont have the correct tach wire hooked up and/or programmed correctly. Dont do tachless...its not reliable.

Either a by-pass or a tach problem.

Sorry, OR incorrect wiring. Try the key in ignition procedure as explained above first to eliminate faulty wiring.

Try a reset on the XK05 ( or re-flash it ) and then re-program it. If you are running the XK05 W2W, is the Brown GWR wire connected to the remote starts (-) Status Output ( or (-) Third Ignition or (-) GWR ) wire?

it works now all that you said was the problem except I used a t-tap for the power for the bypass and the male side was crooked and not in the center so that was my ultimate problem thanks for your help!!!!!!!
