Ive been deciding what to charge for the viper smart start units this year. Ive called around to find out what others are charging with mixed results....

I called 7 different best buy's asking each what is the cheapest 1 way viper autostart with smart start installed would cost in a 2005 Chevy Silverado.

Came up with
-around 700
-$600
-$850
-$700
-$500 plus any additional relays or parts
-$925
-$720

-Chances are I am not in your area so please let me know what price points you are running.

What does it matter what other places across the country are charging?

Smart Start is 299.00 + the cost of a compatable system.

If I said I charge 449.00 is that what you'd charge, or try to beat it?

I was thinking along the same lines as Mark, although i live a million miles away and have no idea what prices are like in the U.S. prices shuld be charged fairly and realistically, what other shops charge is of no concern whatsoever, as long as the price you charge allows you to cover the cost of your expenses and has a fair profit margin for you. Period.
